I had a bankruptcy over 3 yrs. ago and have since rebuilt my credit. I have two credit cards with a 23.4 % interest rate. I called them and asked to have the interest rate lowered so I could pay down the cards. They told me they could not do it and I could not speak to a manager as they would not honor my request.
I have paid on these cards more than the minimum payment and never been late. I can't get the balance down with these interest rates. What can I do.?
Answer:
The matter is that you've got bancruptcy record in your credit history, and this record can't be moved away from it for 7-10 years, depending on the chapter you were charged on. The problem with such credit history as yours is that credit card companies refuse to give approval for credit cards better than bad credit cards. Your credit history serves as a guarantee, it covers the risks of the bank. If you once failed to pay your debt, you're in the black list, and you have to vindicate your reliability. For that you have to pay off credit cards with non-beneficial terms, accumulating your credit score, after which, if no delinquencies commited, you'll be able to apply for the best credit cards. Do not despair or think the bank treats you unfairly, you have to rebuild your ruined credit rating first, and then everything will be OK.

I have good credit and atleast 5 or 6 credit cards. I use 2 or 3 of them regularly. I am thinking about getting another credit card b/c I would like a reward card with a low apr and maybe 0% APR for a certain amount of time. My question is does having more credit cards look bad on you if your bills are paid? Also do you have any suggestions that would fit this?
Answer:
Actually, it depends on many factors, so it is very difficult to answer definitely. If you are holding several credit cards and you have already paid a good deal of the debt on them and no late payments took place, I do not think you will be denied for a next credit card. Besides, your annual income also matters - if it allows you to pay off one more credit card (according to the bank's calculations), you will be approved. As far as your requirements to a credit card are concerned, you have a wide range of credit options to choose from, as good credit cards are numerous and various - so you should decide what rewards you would like to receive and evaluate the cards accordingly. Moreover, rewards cards can also have 0% intro APR and low ongoing APR. To estimate credit cards on the APR basis, you are welcome to look through low APR credit card deals.

Can I get unsecured credit card without SSN?
Answer:
Unfortunately, all our credit card applications require social security number, and unsecured credit cards are not an exclusion. Actually, you can apply for a credit card without ssn, if this is a business credit card and your business credit history has been good for 5 years already. Unsecured credit cards are called so because they do not require a deposit in a bank like secured credit cards do.
But you should have some credit before you apply for an unsecured credit card, and depending on what credit you have, you will be eligible for a bad, fair or good credit unsecured card.

wHAT ARE THE CREDIT LIMITS
Answer:
Credit limit is the amount of money the bank can give you as credit. Credit limit depends greatly on your credit history and score: the more your score is, the better you credit history is, the higher credit limit will be available for you. Credit limit also depends on your annual income and type of credit card. So, the same credit card may provide different credit limits for customers with different credit ratings. That's why, you should read terms&conditions carefully before applying for a credit card. And one more thing. If you spend more than your credit limit, you will be charged an over-the-limit fee and it can also damage your credit.

If I\'m approved for credit today can I use it today?
Answer:
If you were approved for credit card, you should have received a message saying for how long you should wait for the credit card to be delivered to you and how you can activate your credit card. Usually, it takes a week or more for a credit card to be delivered to you, and which you are supposed to call the defined number or go to a certain web-address to activate your credit card and learn your PIN code (instructions are usually given in the above mentioned letter). You can't use your credit card the same day, as
1) it is not activated
2) you do not have it, so you don't know the number of the card and the PIN
That's why you will have to wait until you receive the credit card itself and you'll be free to use it after activation.

How do I discontinue credit cards that I never use.?
Answer:
You can call the bank or contact it via Internet (if online banking services are provided by your bank) and close the credit cards you do not want to use anymore, but it will damage your credit score. To avoid damage (actually to reduce the number of points that will be taken away) you are recommended to wait until the term of the credit card will expire. But if the fees are too high or you do not like the service, as the credit card has started to bother you, you should certainly cancel it.

I am currently out of work due to a high risk pregnancy and my bills are starting to compile. I was wondering if there is a way that I can get a high limit credit card to consolidate some of my bills even though I have bad credit? I will resume my previous position of employment in approximately 6 weeks and I need temporary help.
Answer:
I don't think that there is a balance transfer credit card for bad credit, and I don't think that consolidating your balances is a good idea for the time. You should go to the bank and ask them tolower the payments or postpone them, since you have health problems. You 'll have to provide certain documents for that. It is possible in many banks. So, after you start working, you'll be able to pay everything off.

I have 3 credit cards with 22,000.00 on them where I used them to help build my home. Do you know of a credit card or Bank that would give a set rate to combine all 3 cards for a lower interest rate than I am paying now. I pay 450.00 a month payment now on these cards
and have never been late on any payment in over 30 years. On any money I have ever borrowed. I am senior citizen now and would like to get payments lowered due to being on a set income. Thank You

what is the difference between a secured credit card, and a unsecured card.which is the best to get, when you have no credit?
Answer:
In a no credit situation it is a common case for a credit card consumer to make secured credit card deals which are generally No credit card deals. A secured credit card requires you to make a beforehand money deposit in order to protect the money your creditors lend you. If you happen to be late with your monthly payment or skip it, the money will be withdrawn from your account to compensate for the loan. A secured credit card is harder in terms but easier to be approved of than an unsecured one and it is the best varian for a no credit consumer.

how long does it ususally take to ship an credit card that has instant approval? I would really like to have my card by next weekend. Can they rush delivery for an extra charge?
Answer:
The advantage of an instant approval credit card, be it a low rate good credit card or a bad credit credit card, is that the online credit card approval for such credit card deals is received in a matter of minutes. It doesn't mean however that you get your card the day you are approved. Usually your credit card comes to you in about a week but if you want to have it quicker, you are supposed to pay extra charges for rush delivery. Each bank and credit card company charge you different fees for it and you can learn about it in terms and conditions of a certain credit card deal.
