Using credit card deals to lower your interest rates!

What bargain hunter isn’t going to love a great deal! If you love great deals and love the fact that you are saving money with certain things then you will love shopping for a lower interest credit card. Credit cards with low interest and low APRs make many people happy because no one likes paying interest on anything. If you already have a credit card but feel as if the interest rate is too high, then go out and compare the best credit cards online and see if you can find a better deal. With credit card companies being so competitive nowadays it is usually easy to find a better deal no matter what!

Taking action will keep you from paying your current interest rates and if you have bad credit, there is still hope with the abundance of credit card applications for bad credit! Look around and see what you can find!

Never Thought Asking For A Lower Rate Would Be So Good!

The popular thing to do nowadays is call your credit card company and ask, not demand a better rate of interest. If you are the holder of excellent credit then this will be easier for you because you have more leverage, but even if you have fair credit you may be able to position yourself better just by asking.

How can you do this? Since your email inbox and normal mailboxes are probably over filling with credit card applications all with the “Best Credit Cards!” you have a good starting point! Pick out the ones that are most attractive to you and use this as your base.

Call up each one (make sure that you have a copy of your credit score with you for leverage reasons) and ask them for their top credit card deals. The better your credit score, the better chance of you getting a great deal. It doesn’t matter if you are looking at VISA or MasterCard options, these credit card companies don’t want to lose your business and will do whatever they can to have it.

As long as you have good credit to start with, you shouldn’t have a problem landing some good offers. If you have a bad credit history you are most likely going to encounter more laughs than agreements however!

Card Switching Can Be a Healthy Choice!

Your current credit card will not always have the best offer for you. While they may be the right choice for you right now, they may not be in a few months. It is always wise to have an eye on great deals and the credit to snatch them up when they come! One thing to look out for is low rate credit card offers. Many of these 0% credit card offers are only for introductory periods lasting for 6 to 15 months. If this is the case, you may end up paying over 20% after the intro period is over! With the abundance of rewards programs out there you may be able to find a legit offer that is great and worthwhile to switch to. If this is the case you will want to be aware of a few things.

First, make sure that you close the account on your old cards. You don’t want open credit accounts for a card that you don’t use anymore. This will only hurt your credit and increase your chances of identity theft.

Second, examine your current card and the new card carefully. Looks can be deceiving and making sure you are getting a better card is vital. Read the fine print - all of it!

Third, don’t switch to a store credit card! You may fill out a credit card application at your favorite retailer thinking the discounts you will be getting are unbelievable. Don’t get one of these cards because the interest is usually off the wall high and the retailers are usually unwilling to lower them. You may love shopping at a specific retailer but that doesn’t mean you need their credit card - no matter how great it looks!

If you have great credit you should take advantage and get the best deal you can. There are a lot of top credit card offers out there for consumers who show financial responsibility- take advantage!
